SEC power hitter in the portal. Auburn's Bri Ellis. Plays 1st base. 34 HRs in 2 seasons. Auburn Slugger Bri Ellis Enters Transfer Portal - Extra Inning Softball
Just an FYI - Oklahoma only has 20 players on their roster this year (same as Florida). They have 4 redshirt seniors, two of them pitchers they got through the transfer portal last summer. They have 3 "regular" seniors", 4 juniors, 4 sophomores and 5 freshmen. They have 4 pitchers coming back, 2 of which are throwing a lot this year. The Sooners aren't going away anytime soon.
I'm thinking Oklahoma State because they're more familiar with them, even though they couldn't beat them during the season. Maybe FSU because of Sandercock and the overall talent they have up and down their lineup.
Ava Brown goes yard in the second round of the Texas' playoffs. She also threw a no-hitter while striking out 11 in that game.
So as we metaphorically clean out our lockers, who attended the most games this year -- home or away?
Thomas does not. Trlicek & Longley do, but they both participated in Senior Day and people who go to the games regularly and know parents have said neither is coming back for another year.
I attended all 30 home games and the three game series against the Vols in Knoxville. Also went to the game at JU and the one at Stetson. 1990Gator alertly alerted me to fact that I attended the USF game in Tampa in fact sitting with him and his lovely wife and daughter. He was kind enough not to intimate I was having a senior moment. That’s a total of 36 for those who are not mathematically inclined.
Congratulations Sandman. You get the fan of the year award. You might consider applying for one of the assistant coaching positions. There is no doubt in my mind that you are more qualified than the current assistant coaches.
I’ve already confirmed with the poster and he did in fact forget the USF tournament, he now recalls sitting right next to me, the wife and @scrappygator.
4 future gators will compete in the PGF all American game. Keagan and Mia, and cassidy for the east. Ava and for the west team. Layla and Gabi will play on the class of '24 future's team while Layla younger sister Jolyna will play for the '25 futures team. I wonder if she'll join her older sister at Florida or if she will committee to another school.
Question for the experts. Do college softball players play any organized softball in the summer? I would guess not because of fall ball and the long winter and spring season.
