    HIPPA nonetheless.....
Alabama star pitcher Montana Fouts has a hyperextended left leg, Crimson Tide head coach Patrick Murphy confirmed on Wednesday.

“It’s really, truly, day-to-day,” Murphy told Tide 100.9. “That’s about it, really. Wish I could tell you more.

“You could see when she landed, it locked down a little bit. It surprised her obviously. You could tell when she tried again, it hurt. It’s not, we really haven’t had something like that, but the doctors have all seen it in every other sport. So that kind of reassured me this isn’t like a one-in-a-million thing. It’s happened in other sports.”
Murphy continued: “It happens a lot in tennis where that lead leg, the front left where you serve from, you put so much force on it and it hyper-extends. ... We’ve been learning a lot and I’ve heard from a lot of people and we really appreciate the concern, the prayers, the thoughts, everything and I know she does too.”

Cagle of Clemson, Brady of UCLA and Skylar are the final three for Player of the Year. I, cautiously, think Skylar is going to get it. Probably for sure if we were a better team.

Cagle is a hitting Pitcher, but Clemson's SOS was a joke. Brady (certainly has the name recognition, Tom's niece) has numbers similar to Skylar, but Wallace is slightly better in just about every one. Brady is obviously on the better team.

Considerably better in slugging percentage and stolen bases over Brady. Cagle is a quality two-way player but you have to consider she spends the vast majority of the season playing crap teams. If there is unbiased justice, Skylar gets it. We will see.

I hope so. We are not a great team. But, Skylar has such an impact when she is on the field. Without her, the leadership and dynamics aren’t there. Other than Skylar, no one steps into the leadership role. No one. Whether we win or lose, she is a game changer.

I lost my mind the minute I heard she was transferring. Literally jumping around and screaming, "this is huge....this is huge". She has blown past all of my lofty expectations. Incredible talent. Someone like Skylar comes along very rarely. We are blessed to be able to watch her day-to-day.

Sounds like she'll pitch in regionals. I wonder if she'll have to bail the pitching staff out, or will the other pitchers step up and win games without her. Hasn't happened too much this season.
Alabama really is lucky they got a favorable draw. IMO UCA is the only real threat.

Without Skylar, I'm not sure we would have made the field of 64.

Whenever I read about stories such as these, it breaks my heart as well. Not to mention the harsh critiques these ladies receive when their performances are not up to the hype. There are so many things going on behind the scenes and I can only hope that any comments they may read on social media would be an added trigger to end a player’s life.

The girls on the team compete hard and they love being Gators. They are doing it for all the right reasons.

They run ruled the other team 10 - 0. Rothrock winning pitcher and set her high school's all time home run record tonight. She has pitched several no hitters this year and at least one perfect game.

Future pitcher Ava Brown and her team won their regional semi-final today in the bottom of the 7th 1-0. Ava started the game and struck out 13 batters.

I heard Skylar today talking on a podcast from California. After she entered the portal it was between Washington, Oklahoma State and Florida. Even though she could have played for the other two immediately she picked UF knowing she would have to sit out. Interesting.

She had to sit out because Patrick Murphy refused to sign a waiver giving her immediate eligibility at UF. All that nice guy persona he cultivates is BS. He’s a butthole.

Yep. Even some of the Alabama message boards blame him for all the transfers out of their program the last few years.
