Fwiw, Orlando high school players are not warming up to UF coaches in the recruiting circles. Lots of talent in Orlando. …..

And don’t forget Florida State just got swept by Notre Dame. As much as we’d love to see that we need them to win 35 to 40 games when I look at their conference they will win that without a problem because several teams just are not very good

Barco and Fabian this year are both 1st team SEC players. No one else is.

Same late inning collapses. I felt timid early and I don’t feel less now. Look for two more series losses. I’d love to be wrong. Get up and go Gators, or you’ll fast be left behind!

If UF only loses two more series, I would sign up for that right now.

D1 rankings came out today and our mighty Gators have dropped completely out of the Top 25. No real surprise, I guess. Tennessee is #1, Arkansas #2, Miami #8, Ole Miss #9, Georgia #14, Vandy #16, LSU #19, FSU #20.

2019 I assume. That team barely scraped into NCAAs. May have been the last team in.

Losing to the three and four seeds by a combined 24-4 will do that.

Not trying to be a smart butt, but does anyone really feel our pitching guys will turn things around this year? Outside of one pitcher no one gives me any hope things will change. I see a rough road ahead the next several series. I hope I'm wrong.

I get every bit of your frustration @gator34654–no guarantees across the board-fact is these pitchers are our options-one thing’s for sure, every single one of them including Barco has to pitch and not throw. Barco has learned that from last year to present day. The rest of our pitchers are going to have to be quick studies or it’s going to continue to be a kind of repetitive that no one wants to see.

Like I said in an earlier post about our struggles—it’s the biggest gut-check I’ve ever seen for a Gators Baseball team.

To play Devil’s Advocate again, 2006 was easily the most disappointing season for multiple decades. Basically Jeff Corsaletti was gone from the position players and Alan Horne and Tommy Boss (on pure MLB talent, not a big loss; in results/leadership, apparently massive) were gone from a CWS runner up team.

They didn’t even make the tourney. They were bad.

This team still has a lot to play for. Huge gut check time but they have plenty of time to make this season a success.

His defense has been spectacular. Obviously his hitting has been very good too. Solid point.

I was talking about the next two. I think we will probably lose more, because for whatever reason, we can’t hold onto leads.

The 3rd one is Tenn!!! @Vandy is probably the “easiest” of the 3 though I think UF has a better shot to beat Arky than Vandy given it is in G-ville.
