Google Announces HUGE Change To Maps—Thanks To Trump!

In a move that has sparked both controversy and conversation, Google announced on Monday that it would be renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America on all its maps.

The world hasn't collapsed . . . yet. Give Trump time to implement his disastrous policies, he's only just begun. There are his proposed tariffs which could be both inflationary and cost American jobs at the same time; his cuts to the funding of renewable energy sources and the impact on food prices of mass deportations of undocumented agriculural workers and then we'll see what happens.

We're only one week into the administration of the most incompetent president in history. Trump has just started the process of screwing up the country.

 

Google can change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America with a few keystrokes by its programmers. If Trump goes forward with the name change the US Geological Survey will have to issue new maps with the new name, same for Coast Guard nautical charts and publications by NOAA and those are just a few examples and if the name change is extended to the states the total cost could easily go into the hundreds of millions. The name change is another symptom of Trump's Narcissistic Personality Disorder, the real Trump Derangement Syndrome. Should be interesting to see what OMB does since the agency is required under law to calculate and publish cost estimates of the name change insofar of how it will affect both the Federal government and the economy has a whole.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- All Pacific Palisades residents are now allowed to return home for first time since the fire.

The policy change went into effect at noon on Monday.

"Thanks to the tireless efforts of our public safety, public works, and utilities partners - as of noon [Monday] all of the Pacific Palisades will be opened for resident re-entry," said Los Angeles Councilwoman Traci Park in a video posted to her Instagram page. "This is a watershed moment and I want to thank you all for your patience to allow these workers to clear major hazards."

According to Park, as part of the update, the stretch of Pacific Coast Highway along the Pacific Palisades will be reopened for resident-only traffic. Eyewitness News was told residents will still need police escorts but you can check in at Lot 3 for re-entry.

 

Yeah, I'm sure this had more to do with the experts there doing their job than the criticizing and babbling of your criminal hero.

Meta agrees to pay $25 million in Trump lawsuit settlement over suspended accounts

Meta said Wednesday it would pay $25 million to settle a four-year-old lawsuit from President Donald Trump over the social media company’s decision to suspend Trump’s accounts after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Meta, the parent company of Instagram and Facebook, filed a notice of the settlement in federal court in San Francisco, where the lawsuit was pending. Meta spokesperson Andy Stone separately confirmed the terms: a $25 million payment from the company, with $22 million going toward a fund for Trump’s presidential library and the balance dedicated to legal fees and other plaintiffs in the case.

 

A payoff to the President. Nice.

 

To be fair, at least in this post MAGA is being honest; a multimillion dollar bribery of our criminal President is apparently considered a "win."
