Bama would beat the brakes off the same teams if they came out in pink ballerina costumes.

 

This happened to my son in youth football. Pink jerseys and pink socks. He bregrudgingly wore the jersey, but opted for no socks. Benched for it. For the record, his team lost that day. Pink uniforms. Played soft. Any correlation? Not according to our alternate uniform apologists. Must have been the benching of my son. Yes, I'm one of the "get off my lawn' crowd. I don't care for our team to following the masses. I liked the pride of wearing Orange and Blue. If a player wants to wear another color, go find a university with that color. UF is Orange and Blue. Enough said. I'll go drink my prune juice and take a nap now.

 

So what else did Mertz say? Didn’t realize how controversial uniforms were.
