I hope for kids too but I wouldn’t tolerate any half assed effort, especially from leaders.

I had heard much the same, and that UF staff was cautious, but apparently he came in this weekend in much better shape and with good attitude. Imagine spring will be crucial. Upside is obviously thru the roof

The step back in OL coaching UK has had in the past 2 years probably has a lot to do with it. The product on the field showed that was not a typical UK OL. He lost 100 lbs at one point so he is not unfamiliar with sacrifice to achieve goals.

True I think this a make or break year for Yenser as our OLine coach. I’m hoping Coen works wonders with who we have coming back and a couple of portal players.

I can't see your coach putting up with a poor OL. He is a trenches guy all the way, and that is where it is won in the SEC.

True. We did get Tanner Bowles from Bama and Marques Cox from N Illinois who played great against us. I also have faith in Coen to work with what we have and scheme better.

He got his wake-up call, time to go to work now. Nose to the grindstone kid. The hardest workers rise to the top. He’s already been given the tools for free.

Apparently this portalette issue was a problem for him in Kentucky too...

Seems like Napier had a plan and moved fast after the Waites injury. This is a solid pick up.

I'm late to party but I just watched his Sr season highlights. He might end up being our best NFL prospect on the roster. I've never seen a 325 pound kid move like that. I love that QB counter with him pulling from backside OT!!! Not many kids can do that at his size.

Regardless of what happened at UK, I'm glad he's a Gator now. I'm sure Stapleton and Sale are excited about working with him. He has great coaches and nutritionists...I hope he puts in the work to maximize that potential.

I agree of course, but with all the "talented" DM recruits who're no longer around, it's hard to imagine a truly talented kid like Goodwin coming here who hasn't bought into the "work hard and you will play, goof off and you will be gone" paradigm. Like it or not, believe it or not, BN isn't playing around and all the mental masturbation and hypothetical "arguments" in the world won't change that fact. Of course, that level of commitment, discipline and teamwork isn't for everyone. And I expect that at some point, a BN recruit will spit out the bit and go home crying about how mean Billy was to him and how "unfairly" he was treated - blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda. But to my knowledge, there isn't a single instance of that occurring yet. But as others are wont to say, time will tell.
