Liberals love the cops, they keep giving them money and pretty much give them whatever they want. Do they want tummy rubs too?

    Good.
Then tell the rest of the libbie crowd to stop with the racist cop theme.
People don’t respect Leos any more. It puts their lives in serious peril every day.

On the one hand, the cop should be fired, at a minimum. On the other, that will likely mean he gets a DeSantis bonus to kill dogs in Florida.

Agree on all counts. I had one. I’ve never known one to be aggressive, though I’m sure there are exceptions. That one showed none of the signs of aggression, though there was no sound as the dog ran up.

If the fired cops want to kill all the rabbits, raccoons, stray cats running around my neighborhood, I will turn a blind eye.

I like cops that don't do stupid and deadly things with gun.

Ouch! I enjoy zapping mosquitos, but other than that....

We had 3 nests in our yard two weeks ago, and it was glorious, other than being monitored and buzzed while doing yard work. Also a coyote pack in the neighborhood. Adopted a feral cat which is now a sedate old inside cat. Live and let live

The rabbits gotta go, they are pests. We probably need some coyotes actually to solve that problem.

The story also says multiple dogs were in the area, no indication THIS dog bit anyone.

What type of crackhead policing is this? A “reported” dog bite so a cop shoots the first dog he sees in the general area? Someones pet? I mean that’s pretty much what they occasionally do when responding to other scenes (domestic dispute or whatever). Shoot the “wrong” person or even the person that called in the first place. At the very least it’s highly incompetent policing. At worst, it’s depraved and criminal (considering he didn’t just shoot the dog once, but finished him off too, this guy is sick).

No idea what type of area this is, obviously in cities and suburbia you should keep your dog on a leash. But an unleashed dog is should not be a death sentence for the dog. Problem here is the cop was not the right person for this job, where was animal control?

I had never seen a wild coyote before recently, lots of rabbits. Coyotes must have figured this is rabbit hunting grounds, as I’ve seen several in the last couple years strolling right through the neighborhood at dawn. A bit of a concern for us as we have several dogs a coyote could potentially grab.

There is a pack that lives in the old cemetery across from Riverside Heights and is seen in our neighborhood regularly

    Me too.
    Stop looking for the outliers.
Maybe I’ll crank up the transgender threads again. It’s the same thing.

Picture of one in our neighborhood in article and also a link to a Seminole Heights FB page (Seminole Heights is part of the Heights along with my neighborhood and Tampa Heights)

In Tampa Bay, urban coyotes are our neighbors. Can we coexist?

Wonder if the animal-lovers in your family know you defend cops who murder animals.

Well the topic is about a cowardly cop scared of a tail-wagging dog. You’re more welcome to stay on topic.

The type of crackhead policing that the usual contingent defends.

Yes, I’ll trust cops over the many trashy idiots with mangy rabid animals.
    Ya got me.

Having 500 cops from the same department issue tens of thousands of fake tickets to non existant white people to try and skew the statistics so it doesn't look like they target minorities doesn't really help your point.
