I find Mary Trump amusing but to say her arm chair psychiatry is any better than a guess is being generous. I suspect she hasn’t had a meaningful conversation with him in decades.
I've never had a "meaningful conversation" with him. Gee, I wonder how I know he's mentally ill. If he's in good mental health then I'm the one who's crazy.
Eh, “those around him” suffering is hard to feel bad about, since there’s a readily available cure for that.
I like Molly Jong. She’s great. However I agree with the conservatives. Mary is as inside the Trump circle as I am with similar politics to me. In fact I’m Mary Trump!
Someone with narcissistic personality disorder as extreme as that of Donald Trump doesn't recognize that he needs help. It's those who fail to see his perceived superiority who are flawed.
I agree, but I didn’t read it as suggesting she is relating what his condition is now based upon observations either direct or indirect, but upon her professional training and prior knowledge of him. I agree that’s pretty weak tea, and once you take it for what it’s worth. But that’s how I read it. And she may still have some internal connection, although not likely
I think Trump missed an opportunity by not having Mary be his White House Press Secretary. It would have added some dramatic flair to his presidency. In fact, if Trump does get convicted of something, I hope the judge requires Mary to be Donald's press secretary while he's in prison. It would be a big dilemma for the Donald--if he talks, she gets the last word in explaining what he really means, but if he doesn't talk . . . well, that's just not an option.
I don't know whether Mary Trump has any real information or not. But does any really believe that Trump isn't fairly unhinged?
