GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida women's basketball will return home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, to faceoff with Prairie View A&M at 5:30 p.m. ET inside Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell.

Wednesday's game, which serves as the first part of a doubleheader with the men's team, will stream live on SEC Network+ with Kyle Crooks and Brittany Davis on the call. Tom Collett and Kelly Davis will handle radio responsibilities on 98.1FM/850AM WRUF.

    THE SERIES
The Gators overcame a six-point deficit with 1:45 left in regulation to force overtime and defeat Houston, 77-73, at the St. Pete Showcase. Leilani Correa posted 24 points and eight rebounds while KK Deans added 19 points and Jeriah Warren pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds.

    NONCONFERENCE DOMINANCE
Dating back to the 2019-20 season, Florida is in the midst of a 19-game home winning streak during nonconference competition, the third-longest streak in program history. The last loss for the Gators in the nonconference came on Nov. 26, 2019, when Florida State won in Gainesville, 66-55.

    ST. PETE SHOWCASE
The Gators finished the St. Pete Showcase with a perfect 2-0 mark after defeating Green Bay and Houston over the Thanksgiving holiday. Their wins marked their first preseason tournament outing that ended in perfection since winning the Gator Holiday Classic in 2015-16. After averaging 22 points and six rebounds during the tournament, in addition to playing hero ball in the final seconds of regulation against Houston, Leilani Correa was named to the St. Pete Showcase All-Star team.

    COUNTDOWN TO 800
Florida women's basketball is closing in on their 800th victory as a program, currently holding 794 during their 49-year history. When the Gators accomplish the feat, they will be the 13th SEC to cross the 800-win threshold, with Mississippi State also chasing the accomplishment, owning 775 victories as a program entering the 2022-23 season.

    KK'S 1K
Florida senior guard, KK Deans, is closing in on her 1,000th career point. The West Virginia transfer recorded 788 points with the Mountaineers and currently holds 90 points on the season with the Gators, pushing her career total to 878. She would be the second 1,000-point scorer on the roster, as Leilani Correa scored 1,272 points in her three seasons at St. John's

    60: THE MAGIC NUMBER
Under the leadership of Kelly Rae Finley, Florida's defense will always be a point of emphasis. Helping to prove that point, the Gators own a perfect 17-0 mark under Finely when holding opponents to 60 points or less.

    'CHOMP DOWN' DEFENSE
The Orange & Blue have made their defensive identity a key element to the 2022-23 season. Following six games, the Gators are second in the SEC in turnovers forced per game, forcing an average of 24.14, which is good for 20th nationally as well. They have also forced 20 or more turnovers in five of their first seven games of the season. The Gators are also second in the SEC with 12.3 steals per game, also 24th in the nation.

No Merritt tonight... announcers said "personal reasons" but she was hurt last game. It does look like Taliyah is dressed... thank goodness. We are getting thin on the bench.

Correa is "limited" with some sort of injury so hopefully it's nothing major.

The teams is having another one of those terrible quarters. We have consistency issues and we continue to be sloppy with the ball. These things should be getting cleaned up some by now and it is a bit concerning.

Bright spot is the play of Warren. I really think she and Taliyah both have some real potential that is just starting to surface.

Outscored 19-10 in that quarter. That won't cut it in SEC play.
