OGT-WBB Florida at Auburn 1/30/23 7 pm SECN

I can't figure out what is going on with this team. Any thoughts on how to get better?

 

LOL. I guess you missed where the WBB coach he hired at MSU took them to the NC game twice.

As for Kelly, the way I see it, the level of sophistication is just not really there on offense or defense. Hard to say if it is lack of acumen on the coaching side, players not being disciplined, or maybe just lack of practice time with so many new players and players in and out of practice with injuries, etc. For example, seems like we worked all week on cutting back door and it worked beautifully twice, then Auburn decided to stop it (or just hold the girls since the refs weren't calling *anything*) and we got flustered and had no idea what to do next.

I'm going to give her a pass this year, but we're at the point where she needs to be coaching for next year and laying the foundation for that to be a successful season with what should be an extremely talented roster (I know we said that this season too, but...)

 

100% agree... my concern is I am not sure we have everyone we think we have next season. The roster is very unbalanced class wise... If everyone uses the extra year do Myka and Jeriah come back to be backups again. I don't think we know exactly what we have roster wise yet. Potentially loaded guard wise (we need some upgrades in the post) but also potentially losing almost the entire team for the next season to be starting from scratch again.

This is what happens when you let the media and players dictate your choices for the head coach. Hopefully they can pull it together and earn a WNIT bid.

 

I suspect that when you get under the facade that's presented all is not what it seems
