(SB) OGT: UF vs TAMU March 8, 2025 5 pm SEC+ Game 2

I got home in time to see the last 3 innings of the softball game, plus read the PBP and look at the box score. The offense was very impressive today. Everybody except Cahalan had at least 1 hit and 6 players had at least 1 RBI. Ava is a battler in the circle and only gave up 2 earned runs. It will be interesting to see who starts Game 3. Both Oxley and Brown threw well over 100 pitches. Could he go with Hammock? Maybe, but my guess is Oxley gets the start against their ace whp pitched yesterday. Would love to win the rubber game.

Gotta keep her at all costs. I’m probably naive and don’t understand how the world works but I like to think Taylor is here because here is where she wants to be. She could be the rare athlete that turns down money in exchange for greatness and legacy. I get this is softball but her future is great. Future Olympian.

So what are the odds the no chance, paper tiger Gators take the series tomorrow? I put it at 70% myself. I’d give us a better percentage but these umpires have been horrible so far.

 

No unearned runs, please!!! Make them earn everything. And show the confidence at the plate against Kennedy that they showed against TAMU's 3 pitchers today.

I just want people to be positive. Win or lose this is a marathon not a sprint. Two games into conference play without our ace I’m liking what I’m seeing overall. Pitching is proving it can pitch without our ace against a wcws offense and win on the road no less. I can’t say enough about Taylor but two games into conference play I’m a believer, she’s got the clutch gene. However the left side of the defense hasn’t gelled yet. They will eventually, too many errors for my liking but I believe it’ll all come together. This is not a championship team right now! Guess what? No team in the nation is a championship team right because the game has only just begun. FYI we’re a championship team, we will be in the wcws and…comia hits the walk off to win it all

I agree!! Love your positivity. I'm a firm believer in offense wins games and defense wins championships. I'd like to see the effort on the left side improve. I have been really impressed with mia at 2nd and Reagan at 1st. Their range has been great! They are making some really tough outs and I'd like to see ss start to improve in that area. I love comia in that dh spot too. Why not try her at ss? I just think it's been hard for TW to sit a grad transfer. Either way it will be tough against the ace today...she was a fantastic pitcher getting a ton of close calls. Go Gators
