Depends on who you ask. Lol We benefit as much from bad refs as we get hurt by it IMO.

 

If I am looking at it right this means we will play Mizzou on Day 1 and Vanderbilt on Day 2 if we advance... then Ole Miss with a double bye in Round 3 would get that winner... that's an oddly friendly path.

 

yeah I dont think that is true, all you have to do is watch every game instead of just reading stats after the game or just believing refs do not have natural bias" which most do. Is what it is though, you guys have your opinion and I have mine.

 

I've watched almost every game for 26 years.

 

and you think every game has been called right..lol..I have been watching the games since the 90s myself..so again we will have differing opinions on it.

 

I never said every game was called right. Officiating is awful and inconsistent always... but it cuts both ways.

Regardless of opinions on officiating. We have to play and coach better. The W/L column does not put asterisks for bad officials.

 

Hate to say this, but this team is not being well coached. I also hate to say this, but when LSU hires a new coach, they don't go for up and comers. They go for a tried and true one. Our AD goes for hopefuls and pays them as much as if they were experienced and special.
Kelly Finley, like Bill Napier, seems really nice, but out of her league.

 

that last 2 minutes was just horrible. We did not execute at all

 

I think we are being coached pretty well, I just think in most cases we are being out personelled. I thought we caught a couple of bad breaks on the road pre conference with some bad scheduling. Then with Kyle we were no threat to SC, but we could have given a lot of teams a run for their money or won in a lot of cases, Plus we lost Myka before the season who might have been are most consistent 3 pt shooter at the end of last season. But our offense is very good when we run it right. But Kelly Rae has to start showing that improvement next year or the 4th year will be a hot seat season

 

I am not the biggest fan of Finley. I wish Stricklin would have fired the entire Newbauer staff. I would give her 1 more year to see if the next FR class can do anything. But, another bottom third SEC finish equals a dismissal for me. Good luck with TX and OU next season.

 

I like Kelly as a person, though I question a lot of her coaching decisions. She could still pull it off, but she needs about 3 more players in the portal (plus holding onto 4-5 key players). I really think she needs to hire a proven assistant as well. Next year will be her best chance. If she doesn't make a jump then, I doubt she ever will.

 

Coming into this season it seemed the roster had been unpgraded from last year and yet this year's team hasn't performed nearly as well as last year. We started the season shorthanded in the paint and when Kyle went down it got a lot worse. In spite of that I think the individual players were more talented this year, but they just didn't seem to gel as a unit for whatever reason.

 

The class we have coming in is very good. Could help change things.

 

It was Senior Day and two seniors, Kyle and Matharu, were not recognized. I’m hoping this means they’re coming back next year?

 

Yes... Zippy, Faith, and Leilani are out of eligibility. Big shoes to fill.
