The less than stellar infield D rears its ugly head again this season

 

They called that ball to Holtorf a single, but that should have been charged an error. Taylor-made double play ball. C'MON!!!

 

No clutch hitting, not-so-great pitching, and bad defense is not a recipe for success.

 

Honestly the pitchers are doing their job! Red is a freshman and Rothrock is coming back from injury you can't expect them to be perfect. However, with the offense struggling and the defense absolutely struggling this year they are probably putting to much pressure on themselves.

I've not seen Keagan pitch this poorly or look this rattled. Something just seems off about this team and there's no way I'm going to speculate as to what it is. But they're simply not playing like a championship contender, or anywhere close to that. And it's all phases of the game.

 

That worries me because the last time Tim looked that why was in 2023 and I don’t have to remind anyone how that season ended or what followed in the off season
