It’s a risk-reward situation. Against a less explosive offense you can take the chance of a turnover or fast stop. Ole Miss had two timeouts and a quarterback who can score from anywhere on the field so you have to take that into account.

Wait. You have issue with the play calling ..in THIS game? Normally I agree, but take away one poor throw and we have at least a 1 TD lead.

Sounds like someone you would want to score more points against when given opportunities.

A nice 75 yard, 8 minute touchdown drive would be sweet

If you are aggressive at the end with a quarterback who is one of, if not the most potent deep passers in the country, you force the defense to honor that. Therefore they cannot line up on the line of scrimmage and stuff the run. This allows you to run the ball and run out the clock.

    On pace for 500 yards
    75% 3rd down conversions
    Lead in T.O.P.

Lets hold off on calling this a poorly called game on offense.

This game is there for UF to take. Make Ole Miss play your game. Billy eluded to it at the half, he thinks their defense is soft, doesn’t like to tackle.

I think this will pay big dividends for Lagway. Mini running quarterbacks have trouble learning to stay in the pocket and this is forcing him to do so.

I am frustrated we didn’t go for it on 4th and 2. If Kiffin wasn’t so aggressive, what would the score be? He had 4th down conversions on each of their scoring drives. So without his aggressiveness, we could be up 14-3 right now.

Math is really not that hard. You seem to think Florida has a 100% chance of scoring from their own 25 with 2 minutes to play but the data would suggest otherwise. The data would also suggest that a quick three and out would give Mississippi the ball in good field position with favorable chances to score.

The beauty of the math we all hopefully took in college.

I know DJ loves to look deep, but check downs and shorter routes have been open several times before he gets flushed
