If Kugel has the handles to get the ball upcourt against pressure, a lineup of Kugel, Richard, Reeves, Fudge and Castleton might be dynamic on both ends of the court. It also might be a terrific zone defense team. However, whether that lineup could handle full court defensive pressure is a big concern. Richard is a really good player. However, I don’t see him as a player who can create scoring opportunities for his teammates.

 

I'm sorry, I misread your post. I thought it said Billy did NOT have a losing season here.

No problem..I was a bit confused there..I think our MBB program slipped a bit starting that year..I love Billy D tho...hope TG can turn this team around..I have faith

 

We lost most of the team from a spectacular 2013-2014 season. Billy reloaded and left Mike White with a really good roster for the 2015-2016 season. I have little doubt that if Billy stayed, we would have been back contending for Final 4’s.

 

I am sure, Billy could have been our coach till he decided to retire from coaching....however people forget that there were years people were upset with Billy D...I remember all the complaints about him not getting out of the first weekend of ncaas...that maybe he didn't have what it takes etc etc etc..

 

That’s true. However, those people never bothered to check into injuries and other misfortune that affected the team.

 

True...I have been reading posts like what I described for every coach in every sport at UF...even our successful coaches...

 

That just confirms everything that I am saying, and it depends on which service you use. 247 has them lower than that. So talent-wise, they are not better than we are, and as you pointed out, we made the dance more times than they did since 2016 with lower-ranked recruiting classes on average.
