Just sickening

 

Once again UF plays only a “half game”. Mostly it’s been first half vs second half, but this time — after playing pretty impressively on offense in the first half we compliment that with a terrible defensive performance resulting in a halftime deficit when — if we had played defense similar to what usually do — we should have been leading easily. The Jekyll/Hyde personality continues…

 

Just a really disappointing performance. This loss moves us into an NIT team.

Team didn’t get up for the game after a tough stretch, and Vandy was coming off of a major confidence booster.

I’d take their PG and C any day.

 

Just not enough offense. Vandy shot really well. They deserve a win.

Guards are our Achilles heel. This is going to be a bad loss.

 

Terrifying to think of us next year without CC...

 

No, just and over estimation of reality to get in the NCAA every year. This was a 500 team from the get go.

 

Really bad defense.

 

That’s it for tournament hopes barring a 6-0 end to the year. I would say we are better than this but we were obliterated by every top 25 team we played besides Tennessee and now unranked Auburn.

 

Nothing from the guards other than Kugel

 

Vandy center having a career game. 32/10.

 

And whoever else leaves. Golden will have to pull a rabbit out of a hat next season just to be competitive. Some here believe that will happen soon. We'll see.

 

Despite our higher hopes, we are just not a good team this year. Vandy comes into our house and clearly outplays us. We are just wildly inconsistent and a poor shooting team. I think we can agree our performance this year has not matched our expectations. We have gotten out talented and have almost no quality depth at all. The only two positives could be:
We play hard and don’t quit.
CC came back and had a very good year.
I’m not blaming coaching at this point - it’s his first year and he didn’t inherit a lot. I think he will be solid for us moving forward.

How does a center with that kind of skill land at Vandy?

 

Please expound.

 

Losing to Vandy in football and basketball. Sucking air out of the athletic program. Reckon the mighty gators are a gymnastics and track&field school.

 

Not sure we are going to make that tournament either, tbh.
