I thought they'd be down after losing their top 3 guys but they've restocked with a pretty good roster. It's too early to know for sure but they looked like a pretty good team.

He was walking off the court after the game with the massage gun in hand. Thinking just a cramp.

Everyone who played contributed. USF played about as well as they could. Great first game. Both teams wanted it.

That’s insane. He made some terrific passes that we couldn’t finish. Could have easily had 5-6 assists if we could hit a three or if our bigs didn’t struggle catching in the paint or if Condon was actually on the court consistently. Box score doesn’t tell the whole story.

Matti was off today at 3 point line. FT shooting was really good all around.

Exactly. Martin is quickly becoming Claytons best friend. Martin is going to get the tough defensive assignment which will help Clayton enormously.

    I am not disappointed.

Haugh and condo looked to both be taking steps forward. Sam looked more skilled than I expected, but Chins hopefully just had an off night.

    Our backcourt is straight nasty.

I think this team is gonna be capable of a lot of runs this year - especially with Haugh and Condo bouncing around like a couple of maniacal Tiggers. That 17-2 run was a straight feeding frenzy.

A point guard doesn't need to have a lot of assists every night. There is more to the job than assists.

Martin drew the tough defensive assignment and also led the Gators in rebounds (tied at 6) assists (3) and steals.(4). And he chipped in 13 points.

    Nice off season pick up.

Took a while for our quality depth to wear them down. Haugh, Alexis, Denzel, all played tough defense and all took it to the hoop. Martin is tough, he got rebounds a steal or two and hit most of his ft’s and took it to the hoop with muscle and connected on some of them. As for the starters, Chinyelu looked lost early but after they took him out he settled down and played good defense inside, very quick and strong, needs to work on one shot around the basket that he feels comfortable with, that is not a dunk, which he will get plenty of those. Clayton is still the best shooter in crunch time in the SEC and Will is fast, strong, long arms and a great scorer. As for Condo, who else comes up with contested rebounds as often as he does. The kid can finish a fast break, shoot ft’s with a good percentage and is working on his inside shot.As for threes as the season goes, hopefully Haugh, Condo and Alexis will get some of those to drop. I would have liked to have seen Brown on the floor and hopefully Plavzar will get his NCAA ticket cleared so we can build further depth for the long season.
