That’s digging awful deep for what purpose? Discredit an incredibly knowledgeable and insightful member? I love Emily Wilkie but her average is sorta crap. Kistler average is better but she’s slumping atm. I also love Katie Kistler, those two are on my favorite list. So I’ll assume just a post posted for the sake of? Idk, you tell me.

 

Maybe just me but CTW ice bathing Wilkie could be a season defining moment. I saw the PRIDE in his eyes and the joy of the moment.

 

Hightower made one mistake. Gators had some good at bats and really dialed it in when needed.

 

Maybe not run ruling USF early was a good thing, fate even.

 

Can't we just enjoy what our ladies just accomplished? I am for supporting each player that coach puts in...I love them all regardless of batting averages

 

Agree, ocalaman is one of the best posters in Diamond Gators and has a right to his opinions.

 

Maybe he saw how she was swinging the bat in practice and decided to give her a chance..and she came through for us..

 

Yup and I can go to him in dms and ask questions and learn thereby allowing me appear less stupid here lol.

 

He has a right to his opinion just like others..mine is to support coaches decision and whoever he puts in...and not that Ocala has done this...being overly critical and putting blame on 1 or 2 players like some have done is unacceptable...this is a team sport..and they are all Gators doing the best they can

I agree completely. I imagine I wasn’t alone in thinking this would be a run rule game. I’m glad it wasn’t because Wilkie wouldn’t have had her moment and CTW wouldn’t have been able to ice bath her. I believe something special happened tonight for this team. I was simply taking offense to what I perceived as an attack on Ocala. Hopefully I just misunderstood, not all things translate well in text.

 

Wasn't attacking..just stated a fact..the coincidence is that the player in question hit a grand slam to win the game..I was pointing it out that I am glad coach had the insight to give Wilkie her chance tonight

 

I don’t think Ocala did that. To me it seemed someone was lying in wait to dredge up an old comment from earlier in the season just so they could say “this aged well”. Just my take
