QU is a much more physically mature team. We better take better shots or Kentucky and the like will bury us.
Quinn is doing a great job on the offensive glass. It’s not that UF isn’t boxing out, it’s moreso that Quinn is being pesky and attacking the rebounder. Any Gator who has a rebound near then gets one or two Quinn players poking and swatting at the ball. Feels like they have six players on the floor on the offensive rebounds.
Meh. KU indeed might bury us, but I don’t think we are taking bad shots. I think what is hurting us today is rebounding. If we don’t rebound and continue to miss free throws, that’s what will kill us.
Trivia question. With a win today, Florida will have 10 wins entering SEC play for the first time since what special season?
Right, but rebounding is one of our calling cards and a big part of our success. Florida is one if the best rebounding teams in the Nation, so for Quinn to be beating us in that stat thus far isn’t good.
I like Kugel in this spot coming off the bench right now. When he was starting, I felt like the pressure to be spectacular was getting to him. Hopefully, he can relax and get back to the basics without overthinking it. Psychology is so important in sports.
Terrific half and probably one of our top 3 halves of the season. And that is with some horrible bounces on the defensive glass. Given QU is attacking the offensive glass.
