I was just going to point out that on page 6 when the comeback started the detractors from the previous five pages suddenly disappeared. Funny how that works out. It makes me wonder about things. True loyalties and what not.

 

Of course some could have stuck around and continued to comment I suppose but I don’t see posts from people that are chronically negative thanks to an ignore button.

 

And when they come back and win your strangely silent.

 

And just like that pitching collapses again.

 

I’d categorize it more as a mini meltdown. A collapse is giving up seven runs in the sixth in game two against Tennessee last weekend.

 

But likely enough to cost us the game. Against lowly Ole Miss. at home. We needed a sweep after 4 straight losses.

 

I’d go further and say we need to win out. Imo we must and win some games in the SEC tournament to have a hope to host a regional.

 

And it’s over. This team is going nowhere with this pitching that isn't up to the Gator standards.

But at least the men have the bats to outscore the opposition 70% of the time

 

Pretty much season over now for softball.

 

Got to find 2-3 more pitchers before next yr…. 1-2 from portal if they can

 

It’s so frustrating to see I agree, especially when the philosophy for so long has been elite pitching followed by elite defense and timely hitting. It’s like we’ve lost our identity.

 

I think the ladies have the bats to do that as well but they just don’t make adjustments and adapt until often too late. Idk if it’s a bad game plan going in or what. Simply too much talent for these results.

 

Not over until it is but things certainly aren’t ideal atm lol.

 

Couple star pitching recruits coming in next season and hopefully Delbrey will be healthy. Definitely need some help from the portal as well, can’t agree with you more on that.

 

I think one portal arm would be optimal. The roster is going to be pretty full...barring some outbound portal.

 

Would one be enough? I guess if Gigante makes some huge strides in the offseason but that’s still not a lot of pitchers.
