OGT-FlorIda vs Kentucky

I'll say this about end of the half.. DJ did throw a really bad ball for a pick that KY should have ended up with points on. I also just saw Arch Manning fumble a ball instead of taking a knee late in 1st half. Led to 3 more points for UGA.

Always going to have opportunities to score in the 2nd half, let's not give KY a cheap one. I know, I know.. it's conservative, but we do have 300 yards in a half. The opportunities in the 2nd half will be there.

 

Please don’t come out and “protect” the lead. We all know what that does. Peddle to the metal man!

 

DJ had every big D1 program coming after him including Texas and Bama…and he chose Billy and FL …..same with Baugh. That’s one great thing Billy has done is recruiting overall….Badger (portal) Dike and on and on….have to give him credit there….Lagway will be a star!!!!

 

At least try to HOPE for a win...

 

I suppose it does make more sense to sit on it like that. Obviously, we wanna see more scoring, but if DJ had pushed the ball and made a mistake that Kentucky capitalized on and scored, we would all be really pissed right now. So, less or two evils perhaps.

 

But SO Billy.

 

It is that exact mentality which I saw come out in his half-time interview. Like he's overly comfortable for the situation at hand. It's too tight of a ballgame and bedside manner with the fans matters. We haven't exactly been winning or closing games out, so how about we go ruthless mode until that perception changes at least? Most coaches in our current scenario would be sweating bullets like a nervous wreck during that half-time interview.

 

480lbs with our QB and RB, and both agile and quick. DJ has a quick release and great accuracy.
Interesting to see what CBN will do in the 2nd half. Maybe this is the game where the light goes on for CBN and he opens it up.

 

The issue is that turnovers could happen at any point in time. Should we also sit on the ball for most of the second half as well since we could have a turnover? The drive started at the 25 yard line. There was no reason to turtle the offense. We wasted a possession that we will not get back

 

We are winning at the half, can we please try to be positive

 

Billy’s problem isn’t recruiting. He had a top 5 class built last season. His problem is on field results. Those classes tend to fall apart due to the results.

 

Speaking of staying aggressive, Kirby just onside kicked coming out of the half with a 23-0 lead.

Making a push with a very young team helps recruiting though!

Speaking for myself, I see a lot of positives from this game, but the warning signs are there. Part of watching a game is getting a feel for how things might play out. Unfortunately, we've seen too much to assume that we're going to steamroll Kentucky in the 2nd half.

 

Are you ok with him getting an OC after this year?

 

Formerly I might agree but now I think it's more that some teams come in at the 11th hour with higher "bids" and we don't get into bidding wars. At least for some I think (but can't swear to it).
