We are shooting 59% to their 39%

 

9pts, 8rbds, 1stl is a pretty darn good half.

 

Excellent 1st half, up by 13. But the lead could be bigger. We got sloppy the last 4 minutes and let them creep back closer. Shooting 59%, 5-9 shooting 3's - that can't hold up for the whole game. 11 assists to 7 turnovers for us, 7 assists to 6 turnovers for them. We have a 21-15 rebounding edge, their bench has outscored ours 18-5, we have 26 points in the paint to their 14. Kugel has 3 fouls in 11 minutes, 1 point. Richard has played great, except for a couple of defensive lapses. Micah having a nice game with 9 points, 8 rebounds, Clayton solid with 11 points and no turnovers. Just got to keep up the offensive pressure, tighten the defense and limit turnovers. Georgia battles, but we're the better team.

 

Great half, but need to defensively shore up the rebounding.

I'm starting to think our offense goes as WR goes. When he is on, it opens up everything.

 

I thought UGA got away with a lot of over the back under their basket. As long as they don't start calling touch fouls on Florida in the second half it should not matter.

 

He’s young still. Needs to bulk up.

I missed Micah going off in the early minutes those stats are impressive. Cussed Will after the UK game (getting up at 4:30 am and driving 5 hours to that one probably had something to do with my bad attitude) and he has been the best player on the team since. Pretty much took over the MSU game. Hopefully my reverse curse works again

 

I recall him being one of our targets.

 

Richard is so streaky. When his threes ain’t hitting, he’s a no show. He needs to impact the game defensively and on the boards and driving to the basket. Things he’s doing today.

 

Good effort in the 1st half, but UGA is not going to give up. They have already bounced back twice from 15 point leads, so Gators can't coast to a victory.

One thing I would have liked to see is Riley get to stay in the game after the technical. I loved that toughness he showed and it wasn't one of those silly technical fouls. It's the kind of thing that reinforces the tough identity of a team. I don't want any of our players backing down to other players trying to rough them up.

Exactly what we need to do...drive to the basket and get them in foul trouble.

 

2nd half here could set the tone for the rest of the season -- must build on that half for sure and continue to execute.
