(SB) OGT-Florida vs Florida State 5/3 6:00 ESPNU

I have to give credit to the FSU coach. She's built a really great, consistent program that has now beaten us 5 in a row. Coach Walton has some work to do in the off season.

 

And SB has lost 5 in a row to FSU now. Very good chance we see them again in a few weeks. Yuck.

Well it is frustrating, but eventually the tables will turn..I think next season..

 

Maybe the 6th time will be the charm..come close these last 2 games

 

But improbable as it might be wouldn’t it be wonderful to end their season in their own house.

Yeah, we’ll have to be a timely hitting team to do much in the postseason. We know the pitching isn’t there, so gonna have to score to win.

 

This game was close because FSU did not put in one of their good pitchers pitcher until the 6th.

 

We have to be an incredible offensive team 1-9 in the lineup and we have to strike early and often for any postseason success. Speedsters have to get on base, they can make good defenses look bad. Others have to drive them in. The pitching is bad bottom line. If a pitcher has a couple good innings that’s a blessing but the offense has to capitalize on that moment. No lead is safe. Score score score is the formula to having a chance.

 

We still hit a HR off of 1 of their best pitchers in the 6th..

 

I just don't see us matched with them....we would get Duke before FSU

 

Skylar continues to be amazing and it’s a beautiful thing to watch. No player on any team in the country is more important and vital to her team than Skylar is to the Gators. I hope she wins all the things.

 

Without Skylar this team isn't good

 

This one hurts like the one last Wednesday. Let's face it. We just are not as good, top to bottom and all softball aspects considered, as many of those teams that have beaten us this year.

We will build another day, though, rest assured. The hurt this season is telling us what to improve. It shall happen. This current pain is weakness leaving the program. There shall be another day, and Florida Gators Softball WILL roll.
