    Upon further review...

That was a DAMN fun game to watch, both for the dismantling of a quality FSU team as well as the way they played together as a unit. The freshmen looked really good...for freshmen. They were probably the story of the game because the starting bigs got into foul trouble and sort of stayed there. No good bigs, WAY different outcome.

I saw what I had suspected: Clayton is WAY better as a 1.5 than a 1. He looked like himself. Now for some controversy. It is entirely plausible that during a tough game in the SEC (not the good game prelims) that Kugel is going to be the odd man out. Richard with Pullin-Clayton is damn good at what he does. Kugel is still trying to figure out what makes him tick on this team. If he plays defense the way he did against Loyola then he remains locked in. But if he continues to drive without a good idea of what to do if he isn't going to get a good shot and make lazy passes, he WILL find his minutes going down.

The best thing I think comes out of the game is that they get to both celebrate a dominant win and Golden is going to be able to do more ass kicking at practice. The team seems to want to rest on its laurels. That won't work against better teams and the SEC is LOADED with better teams. Besides Kugel still trying to get his bearings, the only thing less good was that Aberdeen should have gotten in more, at least at the close of the first half. I realize most of the game was to get Pullin into the flow but the game was essentially over WAY early. Giving Aberdeen some more minutes would not have changed anything. Pity.

I wasn't going to get excited since I have been letdown before. But we destroyed a power 5 school. Time to get excited.

Condon went down on the floor 3 or four times, holding his nose twice and getting knocked down by more than one player. He should have shot more ft’s than anybody in the game, he likes mixing it up. Also needs to learn to shake it off without showing so much disdain for the opposing team and the officials. Once they see you response
Like I mentioned, they watch for you every time you are under the boards. Maybe even ask if you are shooting foul shots, if not just smile and shake your head. Someone said the two freshmen are steals, I agree! They will get stronger, maybe even grow a little more. as they come together with this team, even better results are comi

Two thoughts. At the beginning of the season, I would never have believed that integrating Kugel into the offense would be ann issue. Right now it seems to not be the strength it hopefully will be.

Second, the “trash talk” criticism of Condon is unfair. Only this crew calls that, he is young, and it was his first big home game. “Picking up bad American trash talk habits” is grossly premature and perjorative.

Yes. It is a tough sport. I used to watch it on ESPN in the mornings back in the 80s. I could never understand the scoring, but I used to enjoy watching them play on while guys were getting carted off on stretchers.

exactly. I don't know if the average person knows just how violent that game is, and he played at a national level until recently...it's still in his blood! i love it

it did have it's moment back in the 80s. we were all shocked at how openly violent it was and of course no equipment/protection. Guys throwing punches during the course of the game. Basketball must seem so tame for him in comparison.

Maybe this will help straighten out the scoring confusion...
