Hell of a start to the series Gators. Proud of them.

 

Will say I’m concerned about the health of Delbrey and Pollard. Hope nothing got aggravated or an injury during practice.

Huh? Pollard has been rested so much she's probably allowed to sleep in the dugout. I have to think she's got an injury because he's not played her much at all the last 3 weeks.

My thoughts as well. She was a regular pinch hitter early in the season and I don’t think she has even pitch ran lately.

 

It's interesting that EH seemed pretty out of gas in Columbia, but CTW had her finish the second game. She then started the third game at USC. Likewise, back-to-back starts with Auburn this weekend.

I know that softball pitchers don't need rest like baseball, but there is a thing of letting the other team see your pitcher and get timed up. So it's kinda odd that were not seeing Gigante or Delbrey at all. It would be pretty coincidental if they both got injured at the same time.

Given the weakness and inexperience in the pitching ranks, could CTW be figuring that with the competitiveness and pressure of SEC play, we're just going to ride the duo of Hightower starting and Trlicek as relief? Give the ship some stability?

Dunno, really no idea. Just throwing it out there.
