No Gator field goals in the last 4:11, but made the free throws, 85% for the game, and won by 9. Big win. Gooo Gators!!!

Loved the toughness, the double defense on Tulu,
Everyone playing we’re getting knocked around but they kept bringing it, the key. TOUGHNESS
Great win Gators and payback for the SEC tournament loss to them last year.

    Great game!

Loved the game plan for Smith. Made him a non factor. (for Smith)

Loved the halftime adjustments to control Hubbard.

Don't look now, but that was a defensive win!

Many of us said we'd need WR tonight. Way to come through my man!

Yes, MSU mustered a run. The timing of that run was worrisome, but it was just a run. That's a good defensive squad they have and they turned it up a notch for a while. We found a way to overcome and hopefully will learn from that.

Micah and Condo are gonna be sore tomorrow, but damn that was some hard ass defense they played. I loved watching Alex bang Smith and that big bodied 4 of theirs. Kids a straight warrior.

Honorable mention for coach's awareness to call that :30 TO to reset the 10sec clock.

That's the kind of game management this athletic department has been missing

All our bigs stepped up to the challenge of containing Smith. He's been going off on other teams

Lovely win, but did I detect a bit of a premature Mike White slowdown early in the second half? (Have not missed that.) Keep running, keep gunning.

I just read that this was the best win of the season by NET rakings because Miss. St. was #40. Still only a Quad 2 win, where we are 5-0. Just need to keep winning games.

Just got home from the game. Did they change the rules on jump balls? I thought you were not allowed to touch it until it reaches its high point. The MSU player clearly swatted the ball on the way up to start the game,

As long as it doesn’t benefit the gators, it’s ok.

I think it was more due to the changing defenses they threw at us.

But, it did seem like we could have attacked underneath more often when we got a pass past most of their pressing defenses. A drive to the hoop and/or another good, quick pass or two (when we were essentially in 2-on-1 or 3-on-2 situations) could have led to some dunks I think. But, mostly we just passed it back out front to set up the offense.

    Upon further review...

The most salient point is...nice win! I thought the game was a firming up of the defense, especially against Smith. Richard had a game we thought he can have and he was THE story, with IMO Samuel right behind.

I am beginning to see what I have been reading about our lack of a good half court offense when the opponent's defense won't let us cruise. Not sure we are going to have an answer this season. Let's just call it OTJ training for Golden.

It felt like this was a win because we played it at home, and that is fine. MSU had some crazy good offensive rebounds along with some good shots (not good defense by us?), but overall they just shot not-very-well. And we shot it well. It is the old "make your 3s, win the game". That is what we did, at least, that is what Richard did. Same with the FTs down the stretch. Now, do it again against UGa and attempt to replicate it in away games against our peers: the 5th to 11th best teams in the SEC.

    Good win guys.

Golden mentioned that they got stuck in in between land, and needs to coach them better to stay aggressive

Fell asleep watching, but honest question here…how is W. Clayton? He left the game holding his hand/wrist.
