Vols held them to 13 last week. We've given up 21 in 24 minutes.

 

Most of the coaches are returning.

 

I hear ya Wing, but we have a lot of young inexperienced players.

And a new system.

And a new staff.

As long as we get a "W" tonight - I'm happy.

Our offense will have to play well.....obviously......

 

Gotta go in up a TD or we'll get behind in the scoring.

 

We are ranked 99th out of 131 teams. There are two worse defenses in the SEC. Unfortunately, they are Arkansas and Vandy...

 

We are not good ! Our staff can coach ! You saw that last year with a different DC .

 

We play soft on most plays, and I think that may get in their heads. If we were continually being beaten like on that TD pass, then that would be one thing. There are so many completions that this secondary is not contesting at all. At least when the ball is contested there is a better chance for the ball to be dropped than when giving a 5-10 yard cushion.

If you really can’t cover with a full allotment, and they can’t, why not blitz heavy?? If he has plenty of time, he’ll find the open guy, most of the time. Put the wood to him first!!
