Embarrassing game, very little about the on field performance of the team or coaching this season gives me hope for the future. But I’m a lifelong Gator and will keep cheering and hoping we’ll get it turned around.

 

Nah, we can't keep blaming the players for this.

I saw how good they played on defense in some games this year, Against A&M and USCe. We straight up handled USCe and they are a good team. And we caused 3 turnovers in the 3rd quarter of the UGA game too. The Utah defense was stout for us too.

So, It's NOT players.

You are still wrong to blame the players, Bill.

But yes, we can get better talent and we will. Let's hope the coaches know what to do with it.

I can accept that we are in Year 1 of a major overhaul, and so the players aren't going to play up to their potential until they "get it". I also get that we aren't as motivated as OSU.

But what I am talking about isn't a lack of talent, just not as much talent as OSU is fielding. Besides a couple of plays where an end makes an athletic play against their QB, we are just plain a bit slow and in some cases not very strong.

The O-line is playing a "below the midline" kind of game.

 

This is why we must close on these recruits. We are making the effort but it seems the financial part is coming up short.

 

You bring in a portal QB for one yr. Rashada probably Redshirts. That puts Rashada and Lagway too close, one will transfer out. Then we are back to an empty QB room. Need to get a rotation of a 4/5 star QB every other yr.
