You are okay Wing-I know you love the Gators-while I didn't play for them-they are my Alma Mater-and I have followed them all my life-I love our team dearly-I do hate to see them lose-but I do feel brighter times are waiting soon..

 

Not so optimistic. Billy better have magic up his sleeve. Honestly, Mullin did not recruit at all but he could game plan with the best of them. Billy is very concerning with regards to game planning and play Calling. This is the second time we’ve lost this year when we had a much more talented team on the field. Not really sure I understand Billy and not coaching up or a game planning to run and tell your qb to run. I just agree wholeheartedly with those that blame Anthony for not running. The head coach is the one making $7 million a year so he is the one that needs to be emphasizing what is important and what is not.

 

Could it be that the play calling is possibly tailored due to what he inherited? And some from poor player execution?

I agree. Isn’t CBN the qb coach? It's like trying to fit à square peg in à round hole. AR is a running qb. Let him run or make him run whenever there's opportunity to gain yards. Too many times he stands there and wait for the wr to make his move before throwing the ball. He doesn’t thrust the play called or afraid to make a mistake. I really don't know. But there are plenty of times if he just took off running instead of trying to be a pocket passer he probably gains big yards.

I think some are over-reacting about CBN. I still think he's a good coach, and i want to see what changes he makes in the off season. I believe AR's issues with being hot and cold really disrupts the flow of the offense, so it's difficult to judge how we would be doing with a more consistent thrower. It's also baffling why AR is not running, and i guess its something we won't know or be told. Some of those throws that were missed could have been made by a typical high school QB.

I fully expect, besides roster moves, there may be a shakeup in the coaching staff. From everything I heard, CBN is a smart coach and he will make changes in the off season. I remain optimistic but i do think we need a major roster upgrade, some minor coaching changes (special teams in particular), and a QB that has the whole package. Somebody else posted we are being tied down by AR's potential. We need someone next season who can hit wide open receivers on a consistent basis

 

Dude hardly knows how to manage a clock and his going for 2 seems to be the wrong move every time once the game plays out.
