Because he’s refusing to run. How are people still blaming this on the coach? He’s got the option to pull the ball on those runs, he’s just refusing to do it. He’s in his own head … again.
Little choice than to use a back up which at this point can't be much worse. Tis what a back up is for is it not?
The ones in denial about his clearly boneheaded calls won't be around when we're searching for a new coach next season...
That doesn't excuse the poor play-calling on our last 2 series. We just planted a seed in their head that we're totally vulnerable.
If AR is really hurt then he shouldn't be playing. He needs to heal and let the next man up play. Need him 100% against UGA.
So we called a timeout to give mizzou the chance to set up a field goal without the stress of a running clock just so we could take a knee? Wow!!!!
Honestly, I had a bad feeling about AR today when he didn’t see the DB in zone and should’ve thrown a pick on his second throw of the game.
This. We are running zone reads. He can keep it every time he wants to. AR IS NOT KEEPING IT. But I saw two runs, at least two, where he clearly should have kept it but handed it off into the pile instead. He was left staring back realizing his mistake. But he has yet to correct it. Dude. Idk what the deal is with this kid, but it is baffling me. He just isn't 2021 AR. He looks scared. He looks timid. He looks like he doesn't want to play. I just don't get it. This is not the dude we all clamored for last year that was shakin and bakin and hurdling dudes. He just looks flat. Almost uninterested. I don't get it. I really don't.
very frustrating watching this gator offense......it seems the Mizzou D is not even defending the option plays as if AR is going to run.... if AR keeps the ball, runs a bootleg, anything, he gets a big gain......if they're worried about an injury tell him to him to lay it down early .......if you're trying to protect AR against injury, that's a crap shoot in this game and if you're "saving" him for the future and taking losses, "wait till next year" is a long way off....."you play the game to win" ( herm edwards, yeah i know, he was fired recently).....and I've said it before; stop calling 40 yd lateral throw WR screens (although UF is blocking it better).... they're dangerous, AR still working on his passing "touch", and they haven't been that successful....instead, try short passes to the RBs, screens, RPO rollouts with a trailing RB/WR, check downs; just try one bootleg QB keeper, misdirection, and with AR's speed good things will happen......geez, call some of the plays mizzou is calling for its inexperienced freshman QB.....D playing ok and the pick 6 keeping it close....lets go for it on every 4th down in the second half.....make it interesting and fun like last week.....
