Interesting that Kistler is out of the lineup today after being removed early in the USF games. Wilkie has an opportunity to prove herself.

Echols K was the key out. Just needed to put it in play. She hasn't gotten the clutch hits lately that we r used to.

 

Her average has been in a free fall for the last month.

 

And EH gives up the 2 out HR to their slugger, then walks the next 2. Not a good start.

Yep - She struck out in the first on a ball that was 2 feet outside and then just now popped up on a 3-2 count on a ball that was up in her eyes.

 

Early in the season she was getting strikes called low and away, probably frustrating her. Now she seems to have expanded her strike zone and swinging at pitches that aren't strikes.
