Walton sleeping? Should have been a pitching change long ago

 

Pitching issue for several years now

 

Oh, really..I think we have had a few others..

 

Got to find a stud pitcher..:.

 

Didn't realize our record vs SC 42-2.
Now 42-3.

SC - 13 runs on only 8 hits 5 earned runs.

 

Name a Gator team in the last 15 years worse than this one.

 

Don't think that matters when they will just regress like all of the pitchers we have.

 

How can you score ten runs and loose. Bosch has to unequivocally has to go.

 

I hate to call out coaches, but Walton is really going to have to have a long look at the pitching coach in the off season. Hitting coach too. I feel like all the pitchers have regressed.

And I hope they’re just not banking on the #1 class next year to save them.

 

I agree with you. That’s all everyone talks about. “Wait until the best recruited class in Gator history comes to play next year”. It seems to be the fans’ mantra. Coaching, chemistry, team leadership all play factors when it comes to success.

 

UF was pre-season pick to win the SEC. But we have only 3 pitchers being relied upon and none of them have been able to get it done against quality teams. And South Carolina is NOT a quality team. All our pitchers have seemed to regress. As bad as the Gamecocks are, they put 6 pitchers in the circle tonight, gave up 10 runs and still won the game! Our defense is not like normal Gator defenses of the past, which are always among the best in the country. And part of that is because we aren't striking out batters, which allows opponents to put more balls in play, stressing the defense. And, by not getting K's, batters keep extending counts until they either get a walk, a pitch they can hit or get hit. Not good.
