I agree. It’s a very nice win on the road without CC. Hopefully it will quiet the crowd who says White is the better coach and we shouldn’t have nudged him out. But I doubt it.
Sean Kelley, "Wow! They couldn't turn those scoreboards off fast enough!" LOL! Lee Humphrey! Huge win. Played a mature game. Starting guards played very well. Held the LegHumpers to 33% from the field.
Florida was doing a good job of putting a body on their big and Jones got several long rebounds near the FT line. Still he went for them so they were legitimate rebounds.
Now need to win at home vs LSU to secure a 500 record and most likely an NIT bid. Guess that will be good practice for Kugel, Richards and Fudge. Need to build around those 3 imo so extra playing time vs good teams can only help.
Fudge is quick, can rebound, steal the ball and handle, albeit out of control when driving to the hole. His three point shooting and Jones should be put on hold till further notice. Fudge looks like he is not strong enough to shoot the ball over the rim, don’t ask him to shoot free throws or even set a pick. Alek is the only big that can set a pick. These two, Fudge and Jones, got Georgia back in the game by not doing what they do best. Jones handling the ball, defense, steals and rebounds and a nice floater near the basket. For a coach who prides himself on analytics, him giving both of them the green light for three point shooting, hurt this team. We won tonight on strong showings from Will Richards and Riley Kugel. Both of these guys are consistent. I am very glad we won, congrats to the team and coaches.
More horrible for your guy who wasn’t coaching a squad without its best player. I like the effort of our team that is very short handed in the paint. Keeping them bought in under these tough circumstances is good coaching, IMO.
Well, all I'll say is maybe you should read Coach Golden's post-game comments. He disagrees with you. So do I.
