We will see Delce again this weekend.

 

Not going to win many SEC games with average pitching and only getting 5 hits. Could be a very long season.

 

We simply don't have an ace pitcher, nor can we hit well enough against other teams' ace. This team is full of highly-rated recruits and they just don't seem to be at the level everybody expects. Some of ladies just looked overmatched tonight and Delce was not at her best. Looks like a tough year unless they get together and figure some things out very quickly.

 

And having Gigante batting 4th is ludicrous, IMO.

 

That experiment should be over imo. Lineup just isn’t clicking and with the lack of pitching I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable with even 8-9 runs a game.

 

EH seems to have hit a wall. She does not look very confident in the circle and when she gives up hits she seems to lose conrol. If Delbrey does not pitch well this weekend they will get swepted.

 

Have no idea why Egan was back on the bench again. She has at least shown to have some pop in the bat. We have just too many weak swinging singles hitters. That might work against below average teams. But when you face a top pitcher giving up limited hits, it would be nice to have someone who can at least hit it out of the ballpark.

 

I agree. It’s not at all ideal but I’m beginning to think we need to pitch by committee every single game, 2-3 innings per pitcher and hopefully at least keep other teams off balance a little.

 

When I saw Delce pitching against the gumps I knew we were going to stuggle.

 

Egan also brings some dang life and energy to the field which this team could use, too often just completely flat. I’d take that energy any day even though her at bats are too aggressive at times.

 

Hopefully a better showing all around tomorrow.

 

I'm somewhat disappointed in Charla. She has lots of RBI's but she pops out a lot during important parts of games. The girls are on national TV tomorrow so maybe that will lite a fire.

 

I am somewhat also but she is getting some singles too and I’ll take that over the weak pop ups. But obviously expect more power from that 3 spot. Maybe she’s just working through a bit of a slump?

 

Missed an opportunity today but in general Unless there is better production from the #4 spot Echols is not gonna get anything to hit. They just pitch around her and hope she swings at a bad pitch.

Where is Pal? Why was she not in right field? More to the point, why was she not first off the bench????
