Great game. Hard to win when other team shoots like that. Like the UVA game, we were without a key player and Clayton def was not 100%. Future is bright.

If we play them 10 times, we win 7. I think we're a better team.

All good. Our ceiling is really high - we have another level (or 2) that we need to reach before March.

I'm convinced that if Pullin was able to play the first three games, we are 5-1 with a win over UVA.

Looks like Kugel is out of his funk with 25 pts and 9 rbs.

Baylor shoots 37% from 3pt range on the year. They got 14 "extra" points from making such a high percentage tonight.

I agree overall but not tonight. If Baylor doesn't go bananas from 3, we win, despite Richard.

But overall, you're spot on...He could be a difference maker for us.

I can't imagine Baylor shooting 56% from the arc yet again.

    Baylor percentages:
    51 FG
    56 3pt
    84 free throw

stats like that you expect to win by 20 plus. They beat us by 4 and we were down a starter. No one will want to play us in the tournament, no one.

Career high points? If so, against a top 15 team, neutral site, short turnaround...impressive.

It’s nice to know Todd can coach offense and the team is talented enough to score against the likes of Virginia and Baylor, even with players having off nights….but…early season trend is they can’t get stops, and teams are shooting above their averages against the Gators.

Gotta win the rest of the pre-conference games to build momentum.

Any thoughts on how Shimmy gets minutes? No Micah, we just shifted to our "oh yeh, we've got a stable of guards."

Yes… I guess we could’ve played great and still lost tonite, as Baylor was that good.

I think, early, we were waaaaay to aggressively helping the post. And either or scout or strategy didn’t account for some great shooters. Going under the screens on a couple of those guys was suicide.

They made 14-25 shooting 3's. That's insane. Both teams made 21 free throws, Statistically a very even game. 20 fouls on us, 21 on them. 38 rebounds for us, 33 for them. 14 turnovers for them, 12 for us. 20 assists for them, 17 for us. We had 38 points in the paint, then had 26. Their bench outscored ours 26-14, but the difference was the 3 point shooting, IMO. Riley Kugel was great tonight without forcing things.
Next game is Wednesday, 7:15 pm on ESPNU at Wake Forest. Hope Michah and Walter are back at full speed.

Isnt he still rehab? No way he would’ve played tonite, regardless. This wasn’t a good matchup for him. I don’t know the minutes, but I felt like Condon should’ve played more.

We were in the game b/c we fought and continued to execute. If you have exceptional athletes/players who can just dominate, games devolve to your dominance. But that is rare in college hoops today with the 3 point line and freshman who are transcendent athletically, but still freshmen. Lots to build on from tonight!

He pushed and he pressed, but he didn't try to force things tonight. That's the difference.
