EH had serious health issues last year, i know that. They got what they could out of her and patched together a world series team. I don't know her health now, but it seems to my eye she is just hanging on.
They have had limited time to work w Delbrey since she missed all the offseason w injury. My hope would be she makes strides this offseason.
Imo Rylee is what she is...nice solid relief option. Not sure "coaching" can move that needle significantly

Our 5-9 order might be the worst we’ve had in Waltons time here.

I don't know. Some of those Amanda Lorenz teams in her Jr and Sr years were not great. They probably had a little more pop on the occasion they made contact though. I wouldn't throw Egan at 5 in with the others however.

Barnhill was the best pitcher in the country her sophomore year and lost 14 games as a senior. Never developed a 2d pitch. Not sure if it was our fault, or how the national team wanted her to throw. Nonetheless she plateaued early.

Potential there if it includes Roe, Pollard, Kistler returning to last year's form and Goelz. Wish we would play all of those names together

Kistler needs to return to last year's form. She's struggled this year. Goelz has not been good in SEC games. She hit .203 in conference games this year and .185 last year. I totally agree with you about Pollard and Roe. Pollard would have played a bigger role this year if she had been completely healthy. I think she has back issues. And to be Roe should have been in the batting lineup every game. With the quality of the 5 position players coming in next year, competition for playing time is going to be interesting in the fall and early past of next season.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading on this board that Barnhill was dealing with a stress fracture the last two years of her career and did her best to work through it. Health issues aren't generally shared with the public, but Kelly definitely wasn't the same pitcher her last two years at UF.

We saw her at a baseball game the last year at McKethan, and she had a boot on. She told us it was shin splints.

Not even close, IMO. We had some pretty bad lineups in the last 5 or so seasons.

Great post. As you and Ocala have pointed out it is about these ladies. If they don't win another game this year they are still great to me. If you watch this team you become attached to these ladies with their different quirks mannerisms etc. When someone like Skylar soars it makes me happy. When someone like Lexie or Elizabeth struggle I ache for them. I'll always remember this team for they have given me hours of viewing enjoyment.
