None in Alabama or Georgia. Don’t forget we will have NC in Charlotte who lost the ACC crown to NC State. This is called rigging for the northern teams and the so called BLue Ball bloods. Sheesh, This is built in to the NCAA and ESPN. Somebody should sue them for being racists. They know in a fair layout the southern teams would prevail.
Welp, that is a season. It was both fun and frustrating. More of the frustrating type for this game. Hard to get 100 points and lose in regulation. Defense was not good enough. Perhaps having Micah was enough to keep the pressure off the freshmen. It is what it is. Now time for the transfer portal game.
I don’t even understand how they decide which BS fouls should be spoken about. At the end of the Kansas game last night that cost them game. With a minute or so we had a clean block they called us for and it was cleaner than this. Here I actually think he lightly touched his pinky. I mean this is a contact sport and they call crap when there is zero contact. The T on Coach and the stuff he was complaining about. Finally, the push off. This is why organized b-ball makes me insane. I played in high school and quit because I wanted to go back to real hoops. You call something it better be real. They spoke about this and rule changes yesterday and it was a whole thing. For us, the block was cleaner and the push off was just an egregious no call. The pundits are just as variable as the refs. It’s frustrating.
Great lesson by officials. Punish a player for playing defense instead of flopping and selling contact....
Only push-offs that are allowed are imaginary versions where you fly through the air & there's no Gator near you.
Geez, we came back and tied the freaking game. That's what he was talking about when he called out the people that said game was over.
How do you think Samford feels? We ain’t the only team getting hosed. Plenty did this year. Doesn’t make make me feel any better though.
I’m thinking the conference tourneys have little or no bearing. Many teams don’t seem to try hard if they are locks for March Madness. It didn’t hurt Alabama and UK and didn’t help Auburn (getting sent to Spokane).
Exactly! Our press disrupted their offense enough to mess up their synchronicity. I wonder if that could be seen on film of them this year. In hindsight, we should have pressed much earlier in 2nd half. Proud of the team though.
It’s just like college and pro football. We fans bellyache all the time but it never changes and I don’t think anybody in the upper echalon give a damn. It makes the games excruciating to watch, hoping a fair game will be called.
Been saying it all season - regardless of your rooting interest, routinely having games with over a foul a minute is a PROBLEM - and so much contact is subjectively called/not called, it’s a choice to fundamentally effect the flow of the game vs calling significant contact that directly and negatively impacts the other team
I really liked this team but we have to play better defense. I looked at Colorado's schedule and today was the first time they broke 100. But I still had fun watching this team and it's been a long time since I could say that. Insides hurt but not dead.
Definitely could have been called a foul and no one would have disputed it. I think it should have been called, but I'm slightly biased. Kind of wish college ball had a challenge rule like the NBA. I think a couple of the fouls called on us would have been overturned. Like that clearout on the layup that hit Condon in mouth, resulting in a foul on Condon.
