What happen to the adage that the D is typically more developed at the beginning of the season than the O?????

 

This looks so much like our game vs A&M in 2013 when Manzeil debuted. We are playing awful gap control defense right now and giving their QB the run gap. We have to play sound gap control and take it away from him and make him throw the ball. Grantham has to see this...

All the Grantham fans out there now need to acknowledge that he’s getting worked. Worked Is an understatement. And it’s not a gamble to blitz by any means especially when they are throwing the long ball on us and the quarterback is having the best day of his life.

 

He seems to default to this. You may get beat deep, but you already are, so at least try to make the qb throw it early.

 

Time for Grantham to earn his money.

 

This isn't about sacks, it's about gap control. Keep their QB's in the pocket and collapse it on him.
