This team is amazing at home, but awful on the road. Hoping we’re better at neutral sites going forward. 3-7 away from Gainesville. And our wins were awful uga, winless Missou and somehow at Rupp. We wet the bed away from Gainesville. That’s concerning moving forward.
out hustled all game. in addition to the offense rebound advantage, Vandy had only 8 turnovers to our 16 and they put up 18 more shots than we did
Why call a time out with only 4 secs left in the game when Golden could have called it with enough time to set up the win.
and nowhere was that more evident than on the boards We knew we were the better team and played too casually
The inbounds by Clayton was just the cherry on top of lazy passing today. I don't think its on golden at all, team had opportunities to win the game several times and just yaked it away. It happens in that building all the time. I suspect we see a focused team next week. Game really meant nothing if UF wins 2 games next week.
And as I said-I have worked with high school youths for the entirety of my career-you feel you have them ready and they assure you they are-but sometimes they don't do what is asked of them-yes-the coach does have responsibility however-the players have to excute the plan
He was hoping the players could manufacture the winning score, but they ran into trouble. The final play may have worked if Clayton hadn't fumbled the ball. I probably would have called it much earlier once they didn't attack the basket immediately.
Do you think we played intensely today? Does this look like a team that can't stand losing? There's no consistent fire out there...you can't play like that and expect to go far. It starts at the top. All great coaches get their teams to play at a high level regardless if they're not playing well. Golden is not there....yet.
He had to cause Clayton was trapped and had no where to go, but he should have called one after getting past half court.
Looked that way to me. Congrats to Vandy for never letting up......they earned the win today with their hustle!
More accurate...sorry. Z Pullin - 20 points (7-of-9 FG, 1-of-1 3pt, 5-0f-5 FT, 5 Reb, 1 Stl, 8 Asst, 1 TO) Samuel - 16 points (8-of-10 FG, 0-of-1 3pt, 4 Reb, 2 Blk, 1 Stl, 1 Asst, 3 TO) Clayton - 14 points (4-of-14 FG, 3-of-9 3pt, 3-of-3 FT, 3 Reb, 1 Stl, 1 Asst, 3 TO) Condon - 11 points (4-of-7 FG, 1-of-1 3pt, 2-of-2 FT, 8 Reb, 1 Blk, 1 Stl, 2 Asst, 2 TO) R Kugel - 8 points (4-of-5 FG, 2 Reb, 1 Stl, 3 Asst, 4 TO)
So you're saying a good coach can always get consistent fire from all his players? That doesn't even happen in the pros this was 100% on the team We can't praise them when they win then blame the coach when they lose
Oh Come on Wing-there will be better days-I am sure when you played you had some disappointing games-unless you were undefeated?
