I was one of AK's supporters and was sorry to see her go. She was great defensively and had a good bat. But I really like Cahalan. I think she is good defensively - maybe not as good as AK. More than once CTW raved about her 3rd base play. But as good as AK was offensively, Cahalan is much more clutch with more power. I think the Gators came out ahead with the change.

FYI. #5 Gator lacrosse getting destroyed at home by #18 James Madison right now. After being tied 4-4 after the first quarter, we got outscored 6-2 in the 2nd and now 3-0 in the 3rd with just under 11 minutes left in the period. We can't get the ball, as JMU has 13 draw controls to our 5.

The only thing I would add to this is that you're comparing a junior in her third season with a kid who shined in her freshman season and actually showed more power than Cahalan did in her first two seasons. We can't know what more Ariel would have shown in her second season.
