Really great all around game by us. Too many left on base but so good by rothrock.

After such a draining road game Wed night I was VERY concerned about this game....especially the strain on Rothrock. This was a real character builder and great prep for the posteseason. Huge win and takes a lot of pressure off tomorrow
I said I would be happy winning 2 of the last 4, we're there and playing with house money now

 

If we play like we did tonight we can be a scary team in the SEC tournament and the NCAA's.

 

This was one of the hardest throwing pitchers we've seen this year. Pretty much every pitch 70MPH+

Left a zillion RISP or could have been a much easier win.

Take away a double clutch, and Rothrock gets the shutout.

Take away a slow decision to head home on the WP, and we have another run.

Bottom line -- not as close as it seemed. Great win!

I know some are angry Cottrill left, but she didn't spit on UF on the way out so once a Gator, always a Gator in my book. I thought it was good to see her. Plus, let's face it, we traded up big time with Erickson. Cottrill gave her all for us while she was here (including donating a tooth at home plate).

 

Our lack of discipline at the plate in the first four innings was evident. The A&M pitcher struggled with her accuracy, yet we consistently let her off the hook.
in the 5th we started being more patient. I do not know why it took so long.
Keagan is a gritty pitcher. She showed that at FSU, and especially tonight.
As someone said before, she is growing up before our eyes.
I look forward to tomorrow.

 

OSU beating OU pretty handily tonight. I see no reason why we can't compete for the title. This group is special.

 

What a night for our Gators. Both softball and baseball with huge wins!!!

 

Skylar and Keagan were players of the game last night in my book. Clutch performance by both. Ava gets an "attagirl" for her sacrifice fly knocking in the winning run.
