(SB) Official Game Thread - Florida vs. Loyola-Chicago 5:30 pm Friday

7-1 Florida faces off against 5-0 Loyola-Chicago at 5:30, Loyola beat College of Charleston earliy today 4-0 after beating Towson, USC Upstate, Toledo and South Carolina State last weekend. The Gators just finished beating Georgia Southern 8-0 behind a Keagan Rothrock 2 hitter and home runs from Reagan Walsh, Jocelyn Erickson and Skylar Wallace. The Ramblers are pre-season picks to finish 2nd in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Here's a link if anyone wants more detail on them.

Just an FYI - The radio broadcast went out in the 4th inning of the game against Georgia Southern. The station is back on the air now, but we'll see once they switch back for the softball coverage.

Pretty sure McClellan is an outfielder. Alyssa Hovermale is the other freshman who came in as an infielder, primarily a 3rd baseman.

Ava gets a bases loaded strikeout to end the inning.

 

Loyola's pitcher is 3-0 with 0.70 ERA. 20 innings, 11 hits, 2 walks, 19 K's.

Erickson flied out to CF, Wallace steals 2nd, Otis gets an infield single, 1st and 3rd, 2 outs.

 

Otis steals 2nd, Loyola botches the throw and Skylar scores from 3rd.Brown walks.
