Trouble with the whole “official act” how does a sitting POTUS justify killing a rival as an official act of the office of the President. I can see anywhere that’s in the constitution.
The SCOTUS gave nothing to NO ONE... The Constitution did and it never said anything about assassinating a presidential competitor.

Not really, as I understand it. That's kind of the whole issue. There is no check on the president to usurp the protocols that were in place. Just make something official and then they can sort it out in the courts for years if needs be.

I have no idea who or what was involved in this shooting beyond the 20 y/o shooter. However, I must remind some folks that …… words have meaning and can be very powerful. What was very likely, in retrospect, a very poor choice of words by Biden (or those that told him to use those words) he said and this shooting happened. Unfortunate.
