NYT Opinion: Red & Blue States becoming different countries

    Putin on the phone for you. He would be happy to keep you personally in a country by gunpoint. He has lots of experience with that sort of thing in East Germany. It might be an environment you would prefer.

    I will certainly agree on many social issues, and to a degree safety net, school and infrastructure issues. By the same token some blue states get themselves so mired in regulation such as taxes or properly zone usage or small business regulation they can get bogged down and turn a good thing into a mess. I have a lot of criticisms of Republicans in TX but from a business perspective it is a more positive climate for business and employees that tends to benefit everybody.
