Oh it’s not good. Florida is overflowing with people. I hate it.

Based on my experience driving on the FL turnpike and other highways in the last year, no we're not spend a damn cent more than we did before.

Here's my proposal for showing Tallahassee politicians how bad transportation is in this state these days: Fly them all to Miami on a Friday morning, put them in a bunch of rental cars, with instructions to drive back to Tallahassee.

Gainesville has some of the crappiest roads around, thanks to our local idiots wasting our tax dollars( over a billion on biomass plant and solar farms). Now the state is set to take GRU from the city commission. I hope this goes through

Pluses: Florida’s woke community built a great university system. The beach draws in the wealthy and tourists who spend money which is all good for locals.

Negatives: The tax system is regressive and the stupid people are more stupid in Florida than anywhere.

Like every state it’s got ‘em both.

People of all income levels have been coming to Florida for well over a century now. The biggest increases in population growth occurred in the 1920s and 1950s. Compared to those decades, the growth Florida is seeing now is paltry.

And then there is the Save Our Homes amendment from the 1990s that is causing those moving into the state having to pay 2 and 3 times the property tax bill of the previous owners. The cap for those already in Florida is 3%, but those who just moved into the state don't get that luxury and have to pay the adjusted percentage with no cap as property values go up.

Homebuyers who fled to Florida to escape high taxes are now shocked at their massive tax bills

Hey, Florida used to be 49/50 in public education. Up to low 40’s now? Losing to Ga once again.

I am not going to waste my time trying to explain it to someone who is either obtuse or ignorant or a little of both.
