And on a side note, it also says that Napier's belief in a quality foundation took a hit from the evaluation process. Forgivable, just don't make it a trend.
Translation: First, this tweet (I guess it's a tweet) suggests that some "Locker Room" concerns I had regarding the "big buck" NIL players being "resented" in the locker room by others may not have been so far off base after all. Second, the language is gutter and probably not the best look for a player in a public forum, especially a guy that is looking for a new start elsewhere. Third, he may want to consult with a media expert before lashing out like that. There are ways to express discontent, or to "move on" without damaging ones "brand". I suspect this tweet will do him no favors. I regret it is not working out for the young man. I guess being on the two deep was not enough. UF needs depth but not at the cost of losing the locker room.
Apparently the coaches never told him to get more depth on 4th and 17 with no receivers in front of him. I wasn't involved or have any inside knowledge, who knows the true story. Edit: for reference start at 57:02.
Why is Nunnery blaming the DC and not his position coach instead? And if you're out there by yourself and there's no one to guard or protect against don't you just look around and find someone to guard? He let the one receiver run right by him and did nothing... but guard grass as if that was useful. Bye bye Mr. Nunnery... next. The LB coach is gone, and so is the secondary coach that should have had a body on every single receiver. I applauded Napier for getting rid of useless coaches at the end of last year..
Too funny! Soon after Nunnery committed here, one of the GC writers wrote a very favorable article on the kid, with very average supporting statistics. I questioned the author and was promptly blasted by GC for questioning one of their own. Based on article, one would have gathered the kid was destined to be all-SEC.
It seems strange that he would bring that play up now, after he entered the portal a few months ago, then withdrew. Seems more likely that he was getting passed up in the spring, regardless of what Marcinko's depth chart says.
Lunch pale guys are the bomb. Do your job and see what happens. Always a place for those folks. This? Have a good one.
I hate to see any Gator leave... But I find it hard to imagine someone that illiterate and ghetto actually made it to the team in the first place. It's gotta be fake, I'm not buying it. Reeks of Troll type of nonsense. Most true players express their gratitude then share they are moving on. Who's gonna pick up a kid that talks that smack? Fake. Anyway, best of luck to Manny in his quest to find a FB home. Too bad it didn't work out. NIL is the debil, along with the NCAA. Go Gators.
No . . . you called out our writer as "lazy" I believe, when he clearly isn't. It did not go over well as anyone could have told you. It still won't go over well. It had nothing to do with the player. Nick is a very good writer and a great guy.
Nunnery had decent stats at Houston but two years here, if you believe his coaching was adequate and his assignments are intuitive if not obvious, he should be playing at a high level. Staff said he was not. Must be they have 5 LBs they think are better, play better, follow direction and improve on the daily. I do not fault him for being disappointed. But that tweet really made him look like a fool, not a student athlete.
He defiantly contributed to the team, so i wish him good luck. I just hope that comm was fake. Holly smokes.
