One article said he suggested that he might have quit tennis if he won Wimbledon. I can’t imagine performing under such self-induced pressure!

Note that I didn’t say unvaccinated in my post. Vaccinated that caught Covid would then also have natural immunity. Like you said, vaccinated have also come down with it multiple times. All I’m saying is how can natural immunity be better protection as many claim when so many have had it more than once? The vaccinated who have had it multiple times have to be factored into the math as well.

For the record, I’m with you and even Q on this one. I’m over the separate sets of rules. I know there plenty of statistics that show the vaccine reduced the spread and the severe outcomes, but that still holds true if you’re mingling with the unvaccinated. When the vaccine stopped the spread of the early variants I was fully supportive of vaccine mandates, but at this stage of mutations and spread I don’t see a significant personal risk difference between being in proximity of a vaccinated person or unvaccinated person. The risk is on them.

    Yes, why not?

It's not as if we don't have covid still spreading or a public health and safety interest in limiting its spread, including with whom we allow to enter the country. Screaming that it's "anti-science" is nonsense upon stilts and completely misunderstands & disregards a scientifically informed public health approach. Science illiteracy and political ideology--or falling victim to the glut of misinfo & disinfo is the problem among the public, not of public health policy that requires vaccination in a pandemic (which by the way we are still in one).

It wouldn't be that much unlike still requiring kids to get MMR vaccines to enter schools, or foreign students to vaccinate to enter into American universities.

The current death rates and numbers do not warrant such special treatment Mutz. They just dont.

There was no vaccine when the NHL and NBA put all their players together in a bubble.

Joker is a singles player that could theoretically social distance from everyone (unlike the team sports that we played prior to a vaccine while the pandemic was roaring out of control.)

    It's just time.

I think he was yelling because they were not cheering enough for him. The sign he is mentally not ready for a Champion like Djokovic. They are not allowed to coach. But you can give the let’s go pep I believe. It really was excellent tennis minus Kyrgios in a few games literally paying more attention to his team and not the next point. Instead of controlling what he could control he allowed the mental excuses in and that is when he presses. Djokovic is going to just wait for the errors when that happens. Give the one or two winners. Kyrgios already plays aggressive. He takes it to a level that is negative though.

Well moving on from Covid would not be enforcing stupid Covid laws that make no sense. And are not based in science. It is time to move on. Some of you just don’t understand what that means…

    Exactly.

I find it funny that people can’t see the point. It is time to move on from Covid. But the leaders in this country continue to peddle stupid restrictions that are not based in science at all.

Well natural immunity is superior. It was far superior during delta. Omicron did not care either way. But omicron and BA2 natural immunity right now are the best you could have outside of having BA4/BA5 in the last two months.

He's not getting special treatment. What you seem to be suggesting is that he should. But we have no obligation to give special treatment simply because the death rates are currently low.

And not giving special treatment is not being anti-science as some have suggested. This is a mangling of understanding of what the term means vis a vis why such policies remain in place.

Besides the fact there should be no vaccination restrictions at all. The fact we would allow a vaccinated person who has not had the disease into the country and not a person who presumably had omicron in is a denial of science. Shoot fauci and a group here on too hot all just got the disease after their 4th jab…

The NHL had to shut its season down in December when they had every player but one vaccinated. These drugs do not stop or slow the spread anymore. You can say they might give you a boost if you get the disease.

There should be zero restrictions based on vaccination status. The high risk groups should be on guard when community spread is high. But thankfully even theee the numbers have gotten better as the disease has been less severe. At this point the most protected are those who had omicron or one of its subvariants (regardless of vaccination status). It is time to move on…

Science is what they want it to be and it's different for everyone. Science morphs into ideology and back into science when they see fit. It's like the atoms in quantum mechanics that appear and disappear.

Negative Ghost Rider. I am saying that Covid is no longer the threat it once was and normalcy is long overdue.

So do you believe that the U.S. should let Novak Djokovic play at The Open?
