His lack of knowledge about our history as a nation is a crushing indictment of Christian elementary and high school education. Doesn’t even know what the civil war was about.

Yes, we're slow to learn, but we're learning.

Gotta get em while they're young, and indoctrinate them to vote according to your desires--as the Left has done over the past 50 years.

The revolution has already begun. In Florida. Step by step, kicking cancerous leftist indoctrination out of our classrooms....

In my experience republicans have been revolting since the days of Lee Atwater and Rush Slimebaugh. Can’t speak to the 70’s as I wasn’t politically aware then. From what I can tell though today they’re a party of aging, economically disadvantaged mentally ill people. with the exception of states like Mississippi good luck with getting control of the youth.

One thing I’ve been reflecting on is the importance of geographical relocation since the pandemic. Before then for instance Florida was getting poorly educated racist retirees from Ohio NY etc. Now we’re getting well off younger multi cultural liberal voters who can work remotely. I suspect Florida will lurch guide a bit left in 24 and 26

If you think abortion is wrong don't have one....oh, and keep your nose out of the medical choices of the clear majority, it doesn't belong there.
    Medically and scientifically incorrect...as usual.

It's hilarious how the party of death (Iraq, cutting school lunch programs, cutting home heating oil programs, cutting Medicaid, facilitating mass shootings, wanting to cut SS and Medicare) weaponized abortion through churches (fetuses can't ask for government aid) to lock in the rube voters has the nerve to criticize the Dems for protecting women's rights.

Lemme guess, all those gop losses were rigged? No way in hell a party that takes positions that are so unpopular could ever lose an election fair and square:rolleyes:. Talk about being out of touch.

btw that other straw man that about voters rejecting the gop being brainwashed or mentally ill? 1. get over yourself and 2. when do the re education camps open. Good grief.

Ironic the left is ok with killing babies but not ok with the death penalty. For the record I think a compromise is necessary on abortions but both sides are so stubborn and stupid that it becomes, like everything else, all or nothing.

Flatly ignoring the will of the people. I did Nazi that coming.

A 15 week standard isn’t on its own extreme (I’ve always thought around 20 weeks, although i never had issue with Roe). Problem is nobody believes them when you have nutbar Christo-fascist republicans going after the morning after pill, or wanting to track pregnant women’s travel activities, or preventing them from “driving the roads” to get an abortion somewhere else. You know they’d still be out in force harassing those clinics and abortion seeking women even with a 15 week rule. The classic, give them an inch, they’ll take a mile scenario.

If you are looking at teachers and schools for their influence on kids I’d suggest you aren’t learning a thing. Try social media and friend groups, that is where youth exchange ideas… not in algebra class. You guys are like 20 steps behind and going the wrong way.

I normally wouldn't repost something that McEnany said to Hannity, but this skirts around the edge of something I've been saying for years. The Republican strategy of "we're going to force women to deliver unwanted children" -- AND -- "we are going to take away access to medical care and basic needs to poor mothers" ... is about as cruel as government can get and it's why voters are rejecting it.

Even if we assume an abortion is taking a life in the same way (it’s really not), the death penalty is the govt doing the killing. An abortion is a woman and her doctor ending a pregnancy. It should also be obvious that an early term abortion is in no way “baby killing”. Whereas a late term abortion could possibly be construed this way. That is why Roe set the benchmark somewhere in the middle. The compromise you refer to was already in place 50 years until a radical court had a couple new members lie to everyone’s face and perjure themselves about this issue, before overturning precedent.

The problem with the right wing position, as with many things, is that it’s based on lies. The idea women are commonly going around and just choosing abortions “just before giving birth”. Total bullshit. This is the exact reason the propagandists choose inaccurate language like “baby killing”. To get the rubes riled up. Roe already allowed for govt restrictions in the 3rd trimester.

As far as sanctity of life, I see no disconnect in the liberal position. The liberal position would also be ok with assisted suicide for terminally ill people. Again, similar to abortion, it’s about protecting that choice. In these cases govt interference can cause real pain and suffering as well as real world public health harm (in the case of abortion: increased childbirth mortality and infant mortality rates). It must also be understood that motivated women will still do what is necessary regardless of what the govt says. So all that happens is we endanger them by forcing them to self medicate, or prospectively must put them in jail. All bad policy.

What we’re seeing is that voting Americans, when given the opportunity to choose, are opposed to big government meddling in their health care, their bedroom, and their love life. Americans, especially women, are saying they know more about what’s best for them than some dusty old white male politician, or some holier than thou Jesus freak demanding a person’s moral values be legislated to their liking.
