Last I saw, McCaffery was up ~14% with a lot of votes left to tally. We'll see how close it ends up.

Republicans not having a good night. Definitely performing far worse than you'd expect considering Biden's approval ratings. Seems like voters are meh on Biden but dislike the Republicans more.

This is really something lol. Man is upset that when you allow voters to vote on issues (i.e., citizen ballot initiatives), they reject the Republican position:

I flipped around tonight and heard both sides referencing abortion again and again. Several pro Trump guys on Fox basically blamed abortion for the entire night, and signaled Trump’s moderate tone and approach is the only path forward for GOP. Both sides also seemed to say tonight doesn’t necessarily mean much in terms of Biden v Trump.

I heard relatively little mention of marijuana. Maybe the exit polls will tell us more, but I have a feeling it’s more complicated than those two ballot initiatives. We will have to see how polls lined up with results and let the wonks dissect the cross tabs.

Virginia HOR flips to dems. Dems maintain control of the Senate.

The Republicans can't take a "moderate tone and approach" on abortion. Nobody believes them when they try to pushing "moderate" bans. Youngkin tried the 15-week nonsense, and it didn't go well. People hear ban, and they know that the Republicans won't stop at 15 weeks (see DeSantis).

Youngkin is a lame duck with a dem legislature. Does he become a candidate to get out of Va? Would he havevto resign to run?

Except when one such group has no voting say....such as with babies...who can't vote.

Then they rely on their mothers, and others, to stand up for them.

But let us celebrate those who place their right to sex without consequence, over silent others' lives.

That’s exactly correct in my experience. Abortion played a huge roll here. I’m in the 16th district and I can’t tell you how many text messages I got from Dunnavant’s team about how she absolutely would NOT be passing any draconian abortion laws like the rest of the batshit GOP elsewhere in the south. Nobody believed her.

    1) No one is killing babies.
    2) who says their aren’t consequences to sex? They range from waking up rolling over and thinking “oh man what have I done” to oh man “I did good” to getting an abortion and everything in between.

The nation we loved, that prided itself on going to war to free its slaves, then again almost a century later, to protect the Jews from the 3rd Reich and its express desire to exterminate them....has been taken over by a people who celebrate Hamas TERRORISTS taking out 1400 Jews (including 40 beheaded babies), plus hundreds of rape vics, and hundreds more taken hostage... and who rallies to vote to restore the right to exterminate our most vulnerable and silent citizens--the unborn.

We've regressed to a pre civil war state as the immoral nation that exploits its most vulnerable (slaves and indians) and celebrates such exploitation, instead of the one that fought to protect our most vulnerable.

    #progressive?
