Noise from Mike White’s camp

Ole Miss would be "going home" for Coach White . . . plus I think he's close to the A.D. and was maybe even a roommate in college. I may be wrong.

I think Florida could land just about any coach the administration wanted if it's willing to do something like what it did for Coach Napier and the football program. If it's not then you may be right.

 

He leaves for Ole Miss because of job security. At this point White knows he’s not a top 25 level coach

 

I don’t think he feels that way. If he leaves, it is because he understands the steering currents of fan sentiment, and knows he has struggled to break a plateau. He is safe this off-season, but there is little doubt as to the rising temperature of his seat.
Mike has had a very snake bitten tenure… and one that could have looked very different if not for some very difficult circumstances. He is frustrated, but I do not think he is without self confidence.
